Last updated: August 5, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how the13 (“App”, “Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our fantasy survivor application, regardless of device. It also outlines your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws.
By using the13, you consent to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

- Device and Usage Data: IP address, device type, browser version, time zone, interaction logs, cookies or similar technologies.
- Third-Party Data: Data from authorized services (e.g., social login).
We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18 or the legal age in their jurisdiction. If discovered, such data will be deleted promptly.
1.2 Data Sources

- Automatically during app usage
- From group admins or contest organizers
- Via third-party integrations with user consent
2. How We Use Your Information
- Account Management: Operate and secure your account
- Gameplay Features: Enable survivor contests, scoring, and group interactions

- Attribution and Marketing: Understand which friend, creator, or campaign referred you, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising (see Section 4.1)
- Legal Compliance: Fulfill obligations and prevent fraud
- Communications: Notify users of gameplay updates or policy changes
We do not sell personal data. Aggregated, non-identifiable trends may be used internally or for marketing with consent.
3. How We Store and Protect Your Data
3.1 Data Storage and Security
- Encryption: Passwords and tokens encrypted at rest and in transit
- Protected Browser Storage: Secure use of localStorage/sessionStorage in Blazor apps
- Access Controls: Limited to authorized personnel
- Infrastructure: Hosted on secure cloud platforms
- Data Retention: Retained only as long as necessary, then deleted or anonymized
No system is 100% secure. Users should use strong passwords and remain vigilant.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, localStorage, and sessionStorage for session management and analytics. Cookies may be session-based or persistent. Third-party tools may set their own cookies.
You may disable non-essential cookies via browser settings, but this may affect app functionality.
4.1 Mobile Attribution and Advertising Identifiers
In our iOS app we work with a mobile measurement partner, AppsFlyer, to understand how new players discover the13 — for example, which friend, supporter club, or creator referred you, and which marketing campaigns are effective. To do this we may process your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), a device identifier assigned by your operating system, and app-usage events (such as opening the app, joining a group, or making a pick).
On iOS, we only access the IDFA if you grant permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, we do not use the IDFA to track you; attribution then relies solely on Apple’s privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork, which reports installs and conversions to us in aggregate and does not identify you. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or reset your advertising identifier there.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use this data to build cross-app advertising profiles beyond measuring our own attribution and campaign performance. AppsFlyer processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy commitments; see the AppsFlyer Services Privacy Policy for details.
5. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
5.1 Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with trusted providers for hosting, analytics, attribution and marketing measurement (e.g., AppsFlyer — see Section 4.1), and communications. These providers follow strict privacy obligations and process data only on our behalf.
5.2 Legal and Regulatory Compliance
We may disclose data to comply with laws, court orders, or protect rights and safety.
5.3 Group and User Visibility
Gameplay data (e.g., usernames, picks, scores) may be visible to other group members. Profile visibility can be managed in settings.
5.4 Sale or Transfer of Business
In the event of a merger or acquisition, personal data may be transferred under continued protection.
6. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries with different privacy laws. We apply safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to ensure protection.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access: Request your personal data
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
- Erasure: Request deletion (“Right to be Forgotten”)
- Restriction: Limit processing temporarily
- Portability: Receive data in a standard format
- Objection/Withdrawal: Object to processing or withdraw consent
Use in-app tools or contact our Data Protection Officer to exercise these rights. We will respond within legal timeframes.
8. Children’s Privacy
the13 is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Parents may request deletion of a child’s data if collected inadvertently.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain data only as long as necessary for app functionality, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Data is deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use implies acceptance.
11. Third-party Links and Services
the13 may link to external sites or services. This Policy does not apply to their data practices. Please review their privacy policies independently.
